Stalags - Israeli porn about the Holocaust
The Holocaust in itself was so horrific that it is hard to imagine anything worse. Even though the Holocaust officially ended more than 70 years ago, it destroyed thousands of small Jewish communities around Europe and permanently separated millions of people from their families. When humans experience this level of tragedy and horror, they try to use various art forms to process the horror. And yet they made comics that were quite devious and dark, and they are called Stalag. Stalag is the name of the Holocaust porn books that the Jews themselves invented.

The quick rise and fall of Stalag Comics
Until the Eichmann trial, which began in 1961, the subject of the Holocaust did not exist in Israel. The older generation of Israelis were not interested in the history of the survivors. In extreme cases, they even criticised those who survived the Holocaust for being guilty of their own fate because they decided too late to return from the Diaspora.
There was a widespread opinion that those who reached Israel after the war must have engaged in immoral and traitorous behaviour in order to stay alive. In the early 1960s, the trial of the German criminal responsible for the so-called Final Solution of the Jewish Question, Adolf Eichmann, began and brought the true stories of the Holocaust to the Israeli people and changed the way they regarded the Holocaust.
After 15 years of hiding, Adolf Eichmann was captured near his home in Argentina when he got off the bus to go to work. Mossad agents secretly transported him from Argentina to Israel In 1959, the Israeli intelligence agency finally tracked him down and captured him. Although his capture without cooperating with the Argentine police angered the Argentinian government, Mossad and Israel never even considered alerting the police about their activities since Argentina did not allow extradition of former Nazis.
Gateway to a German death camp
Finally, in 1961, Adolf Eichmann’s trial began. The trial brought the first shocking testimonies of Holocaust survivors to the Israeli Jews, who were not completely unaware of the stories, but never had access to their true graphic nature.
Among the main witnesses for the prosecution was the Jewish writer Yehiel De-Nur, known by his pseudonym Ka-Tzetnik. His writing alias was an abbreviation for the German Konzetrationslager, or concentration camp. After his emotional testimony and fainting during interrogation, De-Nur came to be regarded as the first and authentic voice of the Holocaust. Ka-Tzetnik became recognisable as a writer.
One of Ka- Tzetnik's literary successes, "Doll's House", published in 1953, told the story of a character, allegedly the author's younger sister, serving as an SS sex slave in Block 24, the notorious brothel in Auschwitz.
The following years saw the publication of a novel entitled Piepel, in which Ka-Tzetnik suggests that he is telling the story of his younger brother, who did not survive the camp, and in which he was sexually abused by the Germans. Such a distorted picture of Auschwitz, full of dirty sex and violence, began to stir the imagination of the younger generation of Jews.
The pornographic version of the Holocaust
It was Kacetnik's work, coinciding with the Eichmann trial, that gave rise to the pornographic Israeli literature that became a cult standard, indeed a common fashion, of the 1960s. From their appearance, the name 'stalag' was associated more with a small booklet whose cover featured a domineering SS woman torturing prisoners than with the actual prison camps created by the German Nazi officers and the German gonverment.
The plots of most of the stalag comic varied, depending on the author, but they all followed the same torture and then revenge theme.
The protagonist, who was usually an Allied airman of American and British origin, was sent to a concentration camp where he stayed as a prisoner of war. There in the camp is where he will meet his captors. The role of kapo was played by German women with large breasts, and who were dressed in leather accessories and tight clothing that showed off their breasts, thighs, and buttocks. These dominatrix-like women spent most of the comic or comic series abusing and humiliating the allied captive.
The airman is finally freed at the end of the war after years of torture. But the freed man would then decide to remain at the concentration camp to enact his revenge on his tormentors. The officer would brutally rapes them at the end of each comic or at the end of the comic series if there are several comics in a set. Despite his rage and anger during his revenge rape of the female SS torturers, he remains sexually attracted to them to the very end.
Stalag holocaust comics: Art can go too far
Despite the subject and the graphic content and art, Stalag comics were read by everyone, from school children to the elderly, in the 1960s.
They were sold in large quantities at the train station in Tel Aviv. Readers did not look for deeper content in them, but only for eroticism. In the puritanical Israel of that time, this was basically the only pornography available. Initially, it was thought that the stalag comics were just translations of American prose. It was not even supposed that they were written in Israel under the pen of local authors, and only the illustrations were taken from western magazines.
The Israeli authors and creators who were creating these comics made them this way so as to make the reader, and more importantly, the government, believe that they were stories based on the memories of authentic people. The writers used American-sounding names and the style used by translators translating American literature into Hebrew.
Authors knew that the only way for these stalag to exist in Israel was to convince the reader that they were foreign made and imported and authentic, real world literature in their hands. The success of the first Stalag showed other authors that there was a market and a taste for these types of stories. The first Stalag was published shortly after the Eichmann trial began.
One way authors of stalags made their comics and stories seem like they were from the West was by using the Mike Longshot. This man never existed. All the comics that have his name as the author were really just a group of dozens of stalag creators who were hiding behind the name.
"I was commandant of the stalag" is a story described by a dispassionate official who personally tortures prisoners. While Stalags were already controversial and graphic, this particular stalag was all the more outrageous because the main character was based on Eichmann himself. His trial drove this literature, and in addition to the weekly columns with courtroom reports, advertisements for further planned editions of Stalags began to appear. They were eagerly anticipated by all. They became so widely read that even in the world-famous Israeli erotic-comedy film "Lemon Popsicle'', the young protagonists read the literature with eager eyes.

As time went on, however, the stalags became more and more horrific. They described cannibalism, incest and the descriptions of cruelty became more and more vivid. The trend evolved towards stories about young Jews who, as an act of revenge, travel to Germany and have sex with young Aryan girls. But all of the comics had one similarity; the main character was always male.
The breakthrough came with the publication of "I was Colonel Szulc's personal bitch". The drastic descriptions of the abuse of a female French Jewish prisoner finally led to a reaction from the authorities and the launch of the machinery for combating pornography. Police officers, who took to the streets on orders, destroyed all copies of the stalag. Two years after the first issue, following complaints from parents and Holocaust victims, it was decided to crack down on this pseudo-literature once and for all. After issuing trials to distributors and publishers, the authors attempted to instil the genre in Germany. Fortunately, their efforts were without success. But for a long time, when you could get SS jackboots at the flea market in Jaffa, everyone wanted them and it was not entirely certain with whom young Jews identified at the time.
A disgusting phenomenon
The few copies of the stalags that have survived to this day are distributed in the circles of private collectors, usually, fetishists, who are turned on by German women and have German Nazi soldier/survivor fetishes. The combination of sexual tension and war is a very strong stimulus," says one of them in an interview for the French channel Planete.
There are also those who, influenced by these books when they were first published, started or wanted to start having affairs with German women. By having sex with the granddaughter of their tormentor, especially if the tormentor was violent or sadistic, the young men felt as if they were avenging the 6 million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. These feelings were especially strong in the children and young relatives of Holocaust survivors who were finally able to make their way to Israel.
According to researchers, the stalag phenomenon grew and thrived in israel because of the lack of acknowledgement of the stories of Jewish suffering in the diaspora and during the Holocaust. It was because of the blatant denial and censorship in a society where there were too many taboo subjects, regared taboo by religious figures, which led to an explosion of the most disgusting compilation possible: ficitonal stories of sex, violence, and rape, which all occur in concentration camps during the Holocaust.
To this day, the generation who purchased and read stalag comics when they were young and impressionable believe that some Holocaust survivors were able to escape from concrentration camp because they provided a number of sexual services to German soldiers, concentration camp officers and SS Nazi soldiers. For years after the Holocaust and the rise and fall of stalag, the kibbutzim particularly stigmatised pretty, single women as those who provided sexual, field service to German soldiers. The authors of the stalags were prosecuted and condemned to oblivion. All of their works, manuscripts, and art were confiscated and they were placed in prison for months or years. Not only that, all of the comics were pulled from sellers, libraries, and printing companies were ordered to stop printing them.
Today it is difficult to find more information about stalags and their authors. Those who created the censorship law hunted down most of the artists. However, they were not able to imprison one man who created some stalag comics and never went to prison. He was the author of the comic "A Doll's House". According to many contemporary literary scholars, it was at his hands that he committed a kind of "original sin" by creating a pornographic, untrue version of the Holocaust.
Despite the fact that, according to contemporary Israeli scholarly authorities, including Na'ama Shik of Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, De-nur's books are fiction because there were no Jewish prostitutes in Auschwitz (but Reuters and many others writes about something completely different: Nazi camp brothels), "A Doll's House" and his other works are treated by many in Israel as historical fact. Nazi porn in Israel today
One may believe that the stalag nazi comics were a terrible thing of the past and no one in their right minds in Israel, or Germany for that matter, are interested in anything that is both sexual and filled with German Nazi content. However, they would be wrong. While not exclusive viewed only in Israel, there is a plethora of Nazi and Holocaust Survivor pornography online.
