Advertisers! Be ready for HTTPS
Please be advised that we are in the process of implementing secure HTTPS connections. Almost all advertisers with whom we cooperate are already prepared for such connection. However, we remind you of some important guidelines:
- Remember to take care of the protocol in URL addresses in both publisher and advertiser codes. You can use alternative protocol links: //host.com/some_request.html or specify the server protocol and dynamically change links in the content to http: // or https: // depending on the original request protocol.
- Make sure that you follow the instructions above, as insecure http ads may not be displayed if the end user's browser shall request a secure connection.
- Also note that these guidelines do not apply to menu tabs and popunder programs as they may still use unreliable connections.
- Over the next three weeks, we'll be testing https with our guests (starting with those with the latest browser support) to get feedback from users and advertisers. If during this period there is a decrease in statistics, the reason may be the ads which are displayed via an insecure protocol for users requesting https content.
- You can always check directly on our secure website: https://www.XXX.com, whether the code works correctly
- After the tests, we should start providing https traffic to most of our users starting from December 2016.
- We also encourage technical teams to look at HTTP2 protocol, as it may improve the delivery of secure content in the future.
is so nice for this change
